The Document Browser allows you to view the contents of documents that have been retrieved as the results of a query. Perceptive Search renders the document view itself -- the original programs are not required.
To view a document in the Document Browser, either double-click on a document in your result list, or select the document and press ENTER on your keyboard. The file will open in the document browser with the hits highlighted.
Note that not all files will display in exactly the same way, depending on what options have been set for display in Perceptive Search Utilities and the format of the file itself.
If you browse a document that has been changed recently and your Perceptive Search index has not yet been updated, you will be informed that the file will open without having the hits highlighted. You will need to Update your index before the file will display with hits highlighted. See the Performing an index update.
